Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Obstructive sleep apnea is a very serious condition in which pauses in breathing occur in patients during their sleep because the airway has become narrowed, blocked, or floppy.

Common Signs and Symptoms: Inlcude loud and chronic snoring, choking and gasping for air during sleep, long pauses in breathing, daytime sleepiness, waking up with a dry mouth, restless sleep, morning headaches, forgetfulness and difficulty concentrating, nighttime awakenings, and irritable.

We offer several options for patients with obstructive sleep apnea. Some patient may be candidates for oral appliances that bring the mandible(lower jaw) forward and some may be candidates for surigcal advancement of the mandible and maxilla(upper jaw).
